At Jamyang Leeds we have many Pujas and practices to be involved with, each with their specific purpose. Please read more below about our regular sessions:
MORNING PRAYERS

WHEN: Last Monday Monthly 5:45 pm to 6:30 pmWHERE: OnlineOVERVIEW: Tara Puja dedicated to world peace is held on a monthly basis. By coming together like this we send a powerful message that comes from the depths of our being.
YAMANTAKA PRACTICE GROUP
WHEN: Mondays 2:30 pm-4:30 pm or 6:00 pm-8:00 pmWHERE: OnlineOVERVIEW: This is a restricted practice, for those who have received the empowerment to practice Solitary Hero Vajrabhairava / Yamantaka.
KSHITIGARBA PRACTICE
WHEN: Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:00 pm-12:30 pmWHERE: OnlineOVERVIEW: Lama Zopa Rinpoche (our organisation’s Spiritual Director) suggested Jamyang Leeds perform these practices to help clear obstacles.
MEDICINE BUDDHA PUJA
WHEN: Tuesdays 5:15 pm - 6:30 pmWHERE: OnlineOVERVIEW: This is a longer meditation on Medicine Buddha – to remove obstacles, especially those relating to health and achieving a favourable rebirth.EIGHT VERSES OF THOUGHT TRANSFORMATION
WHEN: Wednesdays 7:00 am-7:30 amWHERE: OnlineOVERVIEW: This practice is based on the text” Eight Verses of Thought Transformation”, which contains the technique for transforming the mind into bodhichitta.CHANTING THE NAMES OF NOBLE MANJUSHRI
WHEN: Thursdays 7:45 am -8:25 amWHERE: OnlineOVERVIEW: Join us to fulfill His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s wishes and chant the Names of Noble Manjushri for the swift return of Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
KALACHAKRA PRACTICE GROUP
WHEN: Thursdays 2:30 pm - 4:30 pmWHERE: OnlineOVERVIEW: This is a restricted group for those who have received the Kalachakra empowerment from a qualified Lama.
WHITE DZHAMBHALA PRACTICE

Medicine Buddha Puja with Geshe Rinchen
WHEN: 8th or 15th Day of the Tibetan Calendar monthly
WHERE: In Person and Online
OVERVIEW: Lama Zopa Rinpoche advised that Dharma centers should perform the Medicine Buddha puja to bring peace and happiness, as well as inner and outer prosperity.

Prayers to Stop War
WHEN: First Monday Monthly 7: 30 pm - 8:15 pm
WHERE: Online
OVERVIEW: In 2022, after the war in Ukraine started, Lama Zopa Rinpoche offered the following advice on prayers and practices to do in order to pacify the threats of war:
Padmasambhava Prayer and Mantra: Recite the introductory story once, then the actual prayer, Sampa Lhundrupma, 500 times.
Recitation of Guru Rinpoche mantra (1–2 malas)
Heart Sutra recitation
Prayer for prevention of war: Prayer in Accordance with the Times

TONGLEN PRACTICE
WHEN: Tuesdays 7:00 am - 7:30 amWHERE: OnlineOVERVIEW: The Buddhist practice of Giving & Taking (Tonglen in Tibetan) is at its heart a selfless meditation of loving kindness and compassion.
Lama Choepa and Tsog
WHEN: 10th or 25th day of the Tibetan Calendar monthly
WHERE: In Person and Online
OVERVIEW: During the practice of Lama Choepa, we invoke all the lamas of the graduated path lineage, beginning with Shakyamuni Buddha himself, extending to our present direct teachers who have shown us the path.
We pay homage to them, make offerings, and request each of them to please bless our minds with the same realizations that they themselves have generated.
