Saka Dawa is one of the four holy days in the Tibetan Buddhist calendar when we celebrate the birth, enlightenment and death (parinirvana) of the Buddha Shakyamuni. The effect of any positive – or negative – deeds are considered to be multiplied during this time so the wise do many spiritually positive actions as possible. All are welcome to join in the Buddha Shakyamuni puja (chanted prayers) or just sit and enjoy the blessings.
