Saturday 18 January 10:00 – 17:00
If you have taken Medicine Buddha initiation with Venerable Dagri Rinpoche, Khensur Lobsang Tenzin Rinpoche or another Lama but are not sure how to do the practice of Medicine Buddha, or would just like to understand more about how to practise the sadhana even if you have not taken an initiation, then this Practice Day is for you. The whole day will be dedicated to the slow recitation and visualisation of the Medicine Buddha sadhana and exploration of of the text to deepen your understanding. You will learn how to set up the shrine, develop your visualisation, explore the structure and content of the text, while generating merit for all beings and fulfilling the wishes of Lama Zopa Rinpoche. There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the day to ask questions and share experiences to help develop your confidence in the practice and bring your mind closer to the blessings of Medicine Buddha.
Known for his warmth and sense of humour, Jay has been leading Medicine Buddha pujas at JBCL for several years. Jay is also the former FPMT UK coordinator, volunteer Buddhist chaplain for Leeds Teaching Hospitals (NHS Trust) Chaplaincy Service and long-term student of the Dharma, as well as our beloved café manager! Please bring some healthy vegetarian food for a shared lunch and tsog offering for the shrine.
