Lamrim Retreat, 26 – 30 December 2020
Retreat leader: Kerry Prest
Join us for a Lamrim Retreat over the Christmas/New Year holiday as we explore the Buddha’s teachings in a step by step approach (lamrim). We’ll start by looking at our precious human existence and its fragile nature, moving into the difficultly of being trapped by ignorance, and then ending with the universal responsibility to awaken all living beings through our own enlightenment.
This retreat is suitable for all levels, and we’ll offer it online and possibly at the Centre depending on the restrictions at the time. You can join the whole retreat, or as many sessions as you like. Each session will last 1hr 30mins and will include prayers, guided meditations, dedications for those who need help and requests to our Lamas and the Buddhas.
This retreat is particularly helpful for those who are studying Discovering Buddhism or other Buddhist programmes. We’ll have some handouts to share during the retreat so you can follow up on the topics in your own time. Look out for the Lamrim 30 sessions in our programme too, starting in November.
Donations for the retreat are welcome – please donate what you can at https://ssl.nochex.com/jamyangleeds/
