A bit about Hatha Yoga with Jan McGuire:
I started yoga over 30 years ago and meditation over 25 years ago. I took my first Vipassana 10 day silent retreat in 2009 and found it transforming. I have worked in Mental Health for over 11 years and have observed that the mind can be a person’s worst enemy or the best tool they will ever have.
I teach hatha and hatha flow, and like to combine the benefits of yoga practice with the benefits of mindfulness; slow, flowing movements, moving with the breath, noticing the feeling of the breath and the feeling of the physical form, utilizing mudras and tapping into chakras. I am particularly interested in Svadhyaya; self study or spiritual study; using the mind to self- reflect. Each practice is completed with either a body scan or breathing practice and relaxation.
Cost: £7 per drop in session
