Jan says: I started yoga over 30 years ago and meditation more than 25 years ago. I took my first Vipassana 10 day silent retreat in 2009 and found it transforming. I have worked in mental health for over 11 years, and have observed that the mind can be a person’s worst enemy or the best tool they will ever have. I teach hatha and hatha flow, and like to combine the benefits of yoga practice with the benefits of mindfulness, slow flowing movements, moving with the breath, noticing the feeling of the breath and the feeling of the physical form, utilising mudras and tapping into the chakras. I am particularly interested in Svadhyaya: self study or spiritual study, using the mind to self-reflect. Each session is completed with either a body scan or a breathing practice and relaxation.
