An 8 week online course in how to bring greater peace and satisfaction into your own life and the lives of others through the power of compassion and loving-kindness

This course consists of eight weekly sessions of two hours each, with recorded guided meditations for each week for daily practice.  It includes techniques for meditating on compassion, based in the Buddhist tradition but purely secular in nature, and also the scientific understanding of compassion based in recent research in psychology and neuroscience.  This research has consistently shown significant benefits to many areas of people’s lives resulting from compassion training, and from this eight week programme in particular.

The programme has been developed by Dr. Thubten Jinpa, the Dalai Lama’s principal English translator, also a renowned academic and author of the acclaimed book ‘ Fearless Heart: How the Courage to be Compassionate can Transform our Lives’, together with a team of psychology researchers and meditation instructors at Stanford University.

The instructor, David Midgley, has taught and practised meditation in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition for over 25 years; this series of CCT is being taught as part of his professional training as a CCT instructor and is therefore offered at half the usual cost.  The cost is £100 for the eight sessions; a discount of a further 50% is offered for those on a low income.

We would like to be able to offer some supported places for those unable to afford the lower cost. If you would be willing to contribute a higher amount so as to support someone in difficult financial circumstances, this would be very greatly appreciated.
