Lama Chöpa Puja with Tsog: 18:30 – 20:00 on 14 May, 12 June and 2 July
Lama Chöpa (Offering to the Spiritual Guides) is a special chanted prayer ceremony where we pay homage to the lineage Lamas and teachers of the Gelugpa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, all the way back to Buddha Shakyamuni. We request the Spiritual Guides to bless our minds with the same realisations that they themselves have cultivated. By offering sincere, heartfelt requests our minds can receive the full blessings of this precious lineage and quickly actualise the realisations of the path. All are welcome to join in or just sit and enjoy the blessings.
“Tsog means gathering. We gather together the things we’re offering, and we ourselves gather together to do the practice. Gathering together with other practitioners, concentrating our minds into the same space, gives us great inspiration. It’s much better than just doing puja alone in our own rooms. This is the Tibetan connotation of tsog.” Lama Thubten Yeshe.
You are welcome to bring offering for the shrine such as fruit, biscuits, sweets or flowers.
