Tara is a meditational deity in Tibetan Buddhism and the embodiment of the compassionate action of all the Buddhas.
We dedicate the weekly Tara Pujas at Jamyang Buddhist Centre for the benefit all sentient beings and to remove obstacles to the success of the Centre’s projects. The puja lasts for 30-40 minutes and all are welcome.
Pujas are chanted prayer ceremonies which show respect and devotion. You can join in the prayers and chanting from the sadhana (spiritual text) or simply sit, listen and enjoy the blessings. Please feel free to bring offerings (for example incense, fruit, flowers, biscuits) for the shrine.
Suggested donation £3
Classes and pujas are offered for free at Jamyang Buddhist Centre Leeds so as many people as possible can benefit. We do not get grants and all donations go towards running the Centre. You can donate when you arrive at the Centre or online by clicking the link on the right.
