What exactly is meditation? Why do we spend so much time trying to watching our breath, or analysing reality? These questions and more will all be answered as we explore different types of meditation, the benefits of meditation and its functions, whilst practising some of the different types of meditation in each session. There will also be the opportunity to learn how to meditate on the nature of the mind itself!
Each session is stand alone, so you can drop in or attend all the sessions for a comprehensive overview of what meditation is. These introduction to meditation classes are suitable for both beginners and those looking to refresh their meditation practice.

Classes are offered for free at Jamyang Buddhist Centre Leeds so as many people as possible can benefit. We do not get grants and all donations go towards running the Centre. You can donate at the start of a class or online by clicking the link on the right.
