Introduction to Buddhism

Buddhism has many methods for improving our experience of life through developing the mind and our innate good qualities.
On this 8 week course inspired by the famous Introduction to Buddhism course at Tushita Meditation Centre in India (the flagship international retreat Centre for Jamyang Leeds) you will learn about basic Tibetan Buddhist principles, philosophy and meditation from a modern perspective, so you can apply this ancient wisdom to your daily life.
- The mind and meditation
- The four noble truths
- Karma and ethics
- Love and compassion
- The nature of reality from a buddhist perspective
Although it is best to attend all the sessions to get the most from this course, you can also join at any stage and benefit from the teachings at that session.

Classes are offered for free at Jamyang Buddhist Centre Leeds so as many people as possible can benefit. We do not get grants and all donations go towards running the Centre. You can donate at the start of a class or online by clicking the link on the right.
