Saturday 30 March 10:30 – 17:00 & Sunday 31 March 10:30 – 16:30
‘Entering the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life’ by Indian Saint Shantideva is one of the most famous of all Mahayana Buddhist texts.
Practical, timeless, profound and even disturbing in places, within its verses can be found the entire Buddhist path to enlightenment by using the framework of the six perfections – generosity, ethics, patience, enthusiasm, meditation and wisdom.
Andy has been teaching this text over a series of weekends and on this final weekend he will cover the second half of chapter nine on the cultivation of wisdom and and what it means in a Buddhist context (Saturday) and chapter ten on dedication.
This course is suitable for beginners and for experienced practitioners. Please read chapter nine and ten of the text (in the translation by Stephen Batchelor), before the weekend. The commentary by Gyaltsab-Je is available from the Centre.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for a copy of the commentary. Suggested donation £25 per day.
