Discovering Buddhism is ideal for those new to Buddhist philosophy and practise. Each module runs for 6 weeks and you can attend the whole module or just drop into individual classes. You don’t need to attend the whole module to deepen your understanding of different aspects of Buddhist philosophy and practice.
DB Module 11: Transforming Problems
This module will explore the disadvantages of self-cherishing and the advantages of cherishing others more than ourselves. You will learn how to “exchange yourself with others” and be guided in how to employ the special techniques of mind training or “lo-jong” as a means to transform problems into happiness. Perhaps, as Lama Zopa suggests, you will learn to like problems as much as ice cream!
Tuesdays: 18:30 – 20:00 from Tuesday 9 January to Tuesday 13 February (6 sessions)
Drop in for individual sessions or book by emailing email@example.com . Suggested donation £6 per session.
Classes are offered for free at Jamyang Buddhist Centre Leeds so as many people as possible can benefit. We do not get grants and all donations go towards running the Centre. You can donate at the start of a class or online by clicking the link on the right.
